Blog Look And Feel ...

I'm looking to update the look and feel of the blog -- anyone have any strong preferences for blogs they enjoy, or that have some particular functionality they like? All suggestions appreciated.

As a writer, I value words, but I think that pictures don't hurt. After I changed my blog and put some book cover artwork into my header, the number of hits went up. I put images into most of my posts, kind of like priming a pump, and I like to see blogs that do that.

The picture doesn't tell the story but it offers a hint of what the story will be. Like a book cover that gets you to pick up a novel and open it.

Other thing I like is a bookface font for posts. I do my mss in Courier, a holdover from the old typewriter days (and movie and TV script stuff, which still likes that font.) But a galley reads better in bookface, because it starts to look more like a real book.

My two cents' worth ...

Yeah, yours is one of the blogs I like. It's cleaner and prettier than mine. I was already planning on lifting stuff from it. :-)
