The Presence of Haristi in the Lord November excerpt strikes me as what what both would be, in time. (What that means for entities capable of self-powered time manipulation is a question I shall ignore for now.) There was the bit where Denice communicated with Camber in tLD, though.Sean Faganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04453182401970523831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1778489216730794604.post-46735718554887323412008-02-22T06:17:00.000-08:002008-02-22T06:17:00.000-08:00Great short, Dan! It's hard to describe the birth of a god, and this does it. Nice and creepy :). And a good use of the jinn/djinn story, which shows up elsewhere in your works as well.

For some reason, I guess I'd thought the bit about him asking the aliens occurred at the end of the story.Sean Faganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04453182401970523831noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1778489216730794604.post-24523281852841367902008-02-21T12:31:00.001-08:002008-02-21T12:31:00.001-08:00>Not bad for a white boy.You shoulda seen me dance...>Not bad for a white boy.

You shoulda seen me dance.Daniel Keys Moranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12992599044462413412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1778489216730794604.post-28314295085485210292008-02-21T12:31:00.000-08:002008-02-21T12:31:00.000-08:00Thanks, Sean and Everett, for the typo catches. I tweaked a few sentences in this (fewer than 5, I think) for clumsy constructions, but it's a very faithful version otherwise. I was tempted to tweak at least half a dozen more sentences, and restrained myself.
