Sad, but what can you do? If Bill Stewart is a perfectly good guy, then perhaps he'd be a perfectly good sport and allow you to publish The Ring. Thanks for the headsup.

Sean, I'm fine with lending. I appreciate the question. I'm as thoroughly anti-DRM as anybody out there -- people who buy things should have the rights to use them as they please, and certainly this would include lending books out. Obviously you have to trust people to do the right thing and delete the book when done, but ... shrug. It's a different world. The only way to stamp out piracy would be to destroy everyone's freedom to do *anything.* I'm not up for it.

Bill Stewart owns the Ring. He's a perfectly good guy -- we talked a couple years ago about doing something with the Ring, and I ended up leaving the country immediately thereafter and Things Happened. But I will probably come back to it.

The omnibus will be available on Amazon at some point, but it'll require work -- I can't do it the way I've done the fs& copy. Amazon won't let me upload multiple files for one book -- so I have to merge the book docs together, reformat them, rekindlify them ... lot of work. I'll get there, but not real soon.Daniel Keys Moranhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12992599044462413412noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1778489216730794604.post-18557056352367067652011-04-23T11:24:46.944-07:002011-04-23T11:24:46.944-07:00Hey, you do know that your Amazon shortened link r...Hey, you do know that your Amazon shortened link redirects through Facebook right?tobyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02492929922686624574noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1778489216730794604.post-9299699525176134702011-04-23T06:31:22.489-07:002011-04-23T06:31:22.489-07:00Dan, Last Dancer is up on Amazon now.

It will be interesting to see if those prices were based on the collectible nature of that edition or on providing the opportunity to read the book. The Long Run has been like The Perfect Thief for many years now. Widely regarded, but difficult to get a hold of.rhudsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02825290631372084880noreply@blogger.com
